Personal Profile
Jamie is passionate about life, about learning and improving from it. Whilst we have advanced massively in technological areas, we haven't advanced anything like so much in moral and emotional areas. There is always something to be learned from other people.
In Jamie's Own Words
This is an amazing time to live in. This is an age of constant change. Technology gives us such wonders we never had even ten years ago yet for all these amazing things we should not remain ignorant of history. A wise man once told me "The man who ignores history is doomed to repeat it". He wasn't wrong.
Interests and Activities
Cricket is my main interest, something I can talk about for hours. As a Surrey member and supporter you might expect me to say that The Kia Oval is a great ground and the Surrey staff and players are delightful. But it's true. It was a real pleasure to be at Surrey's promotion and the CB40 final victories last season and the coming season is one filled with hope and challenges. Here's a photo from the promotion day victory against Derbyshire, just a few minutes after the last Derbyshire wicket fell and the Kia Oval rang out with cheers.

My other interests are varied and include privacy campaigning, cookery, good food, public transport, disability issues, classic rock music to name but a few.
My problem solving skills aren't just for work purposes. I have challenged local councils a number of times and had those issues resolved in my favour. I have reluctantly had to do the same with NHS trusts when they have fallen short of decent standards. I have also submitted evidence to Government consultations and written to MPs, peers and MEPs about various issues.
This photo sees me behind the bar at the top of the OCS stand in my second home, the Kia Oval.
